She preceded her mother in death who passed in 2013
BLAKEY, Zenolia
Sept. 19, 1921 - Aug. 30, 2013
Zenolia was a kind soul who left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion. Born in Oklahoma, she migrated to Sacramento, Calif. in the late 1930s. With 3 children in tow, she moved west and met the love of her life, Clarence Ollie Blakey. Married in 1945, the couple then went on to produce 9 more children. Her proudest achievement was that all 12 children graduated from the same high school, Highlands High, in North Highlands, Calif. Zenolia is preceded in death by husband, Clarence, son Michael, daughters Zenolia, Sheila, Megan & Priscilla. She is survived by children: her care- giver and angel, Carolyn Blakey (Jerry), Benjamin Tapscott, Jackie Powell (Johnny), Rico Ollie Blakey, Victoria Blakey, Anthony Blakey (Felicia), Richard Kevin Blakey; grandchildren who she raised, Michelle Gonzales- Bowman (Charles) and Bianca Carder; and many other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews, too numerous to list. Memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, 1PM, at Lombard & Co. Funeral Home, 1550 Fulton Blvd., Sacramento. God Bless
