Served in the Merchant Marine, USN and Army from 1944-1953.
Wounded in Action in Korea, 1950.
Retired in 1977 as Sergeant Major, USMC with service in Vietnam, 1968 with 1st Reconnaissance Bn.
DOD: April, 2012. He was buried with full military honors at Tahoma National Cemetery by a Marine Corps detachment commanded by his grandson, Captain Greg Jaunal, USMC.
