Personal Quote:

If you get to thinking you are somebody important, try ordering someone else's dog around.

I took up the sport of road running at age 47, and have completed dozens of races, including the Dalllas White Rock Marathon in 1998 and the Philadelphia Marathon in 1999. I had to suspend my running hobby after injuries sustained in a car wreck in March 2004, but hope to resume someday.

I completed college in 1972 and worked for the Veterans Administration until I retired in 2004. Although my last work assignment was as the Director of the VA Regional Office in St. Louis, Missoure, I spent most of my career with the VA in Muskogee, Oklahoma. My wife and I are now enjoying retirement in Frisco, Texas, which is just a couple of hours away from my boyhood home town of Hugo, Oklahoma.
