Italy - Rome

Arch of Constantine (right outside Colosseum, Forum and Palantine Hill.) Built in 315AD - very gaudy but a great meeting place. Before Emporor Constantine converted to Christianty, one could be killed for being a Christian; after the Emporor's conversion, one could be killed for NOT being a Christian. This caused Christianity to move from a minor sect with a few thousand members to the religion for the masses - no pun intended.
