| I know this is a long time in getting you this information, but Valerie died on August 2, 1978 in Wichita, Ks. Here is the information I have on Valerie. When she left Sacramento, she and her family went to RAF Lakenheath, England from 1961-1964. While working in the base recreational center, she met Rudolph H. Gieschen Jr of Wilmington, NC. They married in King Park, Long Island, NY in April 1965 and lived in Wrightsville Beach, NC until later that year. Her husband then reenlisted in the Air Force and they were based at Stewart AFB, NY, Lackland AFB, Tx, and McConnell AFB, Ks. They had four children, Stephanie Anne, Joanna Leslie, James Rudolph, and Michael Brian. In 1978 at MConnell, after an accident and serious surgery to repair her broken leg and ankles, she passed away on August second. Valerie was buried in the National Cemetery in Wilmington, NC. At the time of her death, she was survived by her mother Ella, sister Denny and brother Richard and his wife Marsha. Her father, Lt Col James B. Murrow predeceased her on June 23,1969.
