Daniel H. Miller of North Highlands was killed when a rifle discharged accidentally when he picked it up while target shoopting about 10 miles east of Stckton. Miller, 18, was killed outright by a shot whch struck him in the face while he was in the back of a pickup truck. Companions said Danny rached down to pick up a rifle leaning againt the side of the truck and it discharged. His wife, Margaet, and Mr. & Mrs. Frank Parker of Sacramento told San Joaquin County authorities they had been target practicing along a slough before the mishap.
