Jambo Village, Senegal

The third time is a charm. After three attempts, the village has a well. The village, Jamba is a camion, small truck ride away from Podor. The well was funded mostly by donations from U.S. but partly by the village. Peace Corps volunteer Beth ("Fati") drove the project during her stay. Beth returned to U.S. the day before we arrived. We learned the whole village turned out for her departure with everyone in tears; a very unusual display for them.
