Rick Swan Gunny Fitzgerald, RIP, assigned us extra duty for screwing off at muster. Job was to sand down this table and paint it Marine Corps red. I got us to drag the table behind a car. Twice! Gouged the shit out of it. We then poured red paint on it until it was level. Someone tried to write a letter before it dried. Damn.  Gunny ordered a new table the next day. 1968/08
